GENERAL QUESTIONS

+ WHEN AND WHERE IS FVDED IN THE PARK?

FVDED In The Park is a 2-day festival happening on July 5 & 6 at Holland Park (13428 Old Yale Road) in Surrey, BC. The festival is open 2PM to 11PM each day. Food and various alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase.

+ WHAT IS THE MINIMUM AGE TO ATTEND?

FVDED In The Park is a 16+ event. VIP areas are 19+ only and will require 2 pieces of ID.

+ ARE THERE INS AND OUTS?

There are no ins and outs during each festival day. If you leave earlier than the closing time of each day, you will not be able to re-enter without buying a new ticket (if available).

+ WHAT ARE MY PAYMENT OPTIONS ON SITE?

This event is 100% cashless. Only credit cards and debit cards are accepted on site.

+ IS THERE SEATING AVAILABLE?

The venue is general admission standing room. Chairs of any kind will not be permitted.

+ IS THERE BOTTLE SERVICE AVAILABLE DURING THE FESTIVAL?

+ IS THERE FOOD AND DRINKS AVAILABLE?

A variety of food and beverage options will be available on site. Outside food and beverages are not permitted on site. However, personal amounts of factory sealed (unopened) snacks such as granola bars, protein bars, chips, etc. will be allowed. Information regarding food trucks will be released closer to the festival.

+ CAN I BRING A WATER BOTTLE/HYDRATION PACK?

There will be free water stations on site for guests to fill their bottles. Water bottles cannot exceed 1 litre and must be soft-sided (squeezable) - no glass & hard-sided bottles, including hard plastic. Soft-sided (squeezable) hydration packs with a bladder that is 1 litre or less are permitted. Must be empty & open for inspection upon arrival and does not contain any hard or metal framing.

+ WHAT ARE THE RULES FOR PURCHASING ALCOHOL ON SITE?

Alcoholic beverages can be purchased at various designated bar service areas located throughout the park. Only 2 drinks can be served per person at one time. All customers wishing to purchase alcoholic beverages must present their 2 pieces of IDs at point of purchase and obtain a DAV (Drinking Age Verified) wristband. DAV wristbands must be visibly worn by anyone consuming alcohol.

+ ARE LOCKERS AVAILABLE ON SITE?

Yes, there will be lockers on site! These Mobile Charging Lockers allow you unlimited in-and-out access throughout the weekend, and each one features a universal cell phone charger. These lockers are available for purchase here.

+ WHAT IS THE CAMERA POLICY?

Guests may use personal cameras and mobile phones to take photos inside the venue. Cameras with detachable lenses are not permitted. Professional video cameras or video/audio recording devices are not permitted at the event.

+ CAN I BRING SUNSCREEN INSIDE?

Yes, cream and gel sunscreens are allowed. NOTE: Aerosols (spray on) sunscreens are not permitted.


TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATION

+ HOW DO I GET TO THE FESTIVAL?

Holland Park is located directly across from King George Station, and a short walk from Surrey Central Station. The closest bus loop to the site is located at Surrey Central Exchange, one block away. TransLink encourages people to use a Compass Card or pre-purchase their return tickets on the day they intend to travel, which can be done at any Compass Vending Machine. SkyTrain Attendants will be available to assist customers.

+ WHERE CAN I PARK?

Parking near Holland Park is limited. Taking transit to the event is highly recommended. TransLink will be providing extra Skytrain service each day of the festival. In addition to transit, utilizing carpools or bicycles to attend the event is also encouraged. Bike racks are located on site.

It is recommended that guests wishing to drive use the public parking spaces at the King George Skytrain Station or at the Scott Road Skytrain Station and take the short Skytrain trip to the King George stop. There are limited parking spaces available in various parking lots along King George Blvd. Parking at Central City Shopping Centre is restricted to shopping centre customers only.

Please do not drive under the influence!

WRISTBAND QUESTIONS

+ DO I GET A WRISTBAND WITH MY TICKET?

GA ticketholders will be admitted by presenting their mobile tickets at the Main Entrance Gate. VIP/GA+ ticketholders will redeem tickets for wristbands directly at the VIP/GA+ Entrance.

+ I PUT MY WRISTBAND ON TOO TIGHT OR GOT DAMAGED. CAN I GET A NEW ONE?

If your wristband is too tight or damaged, you must bring it to the VIP/GA+ Gate resolution area to exchange for a new one. There will be a $25 fee for all wristband replacements.

+ I HAVE A GENERAL ADMISSION PASS, HOW DO I ENTER?

All GA Pass Holders should proceed directly to the Main Entrance Gate on 98B Ave at 134th Street upon arrival and present your mobile ticket to be admitted. Gates will open at 2PM each day.

+ I HAVE A GA+ OR VIP PASS, HOW DO I ENTER?

VIP/GA+ ticketholders should proceed directly to the dedicated VIP/GA+ lane located at the main festival entrance off King George Blvd. Wristband exchange for VIP/GA+ Holders will happen directly at the designated entrance. There is no need to visit the box office first.


Accessibility

+ WHAT ARE THE ACCESSIBILITY SEATING OPTIONS?

A raised ADA area is available for any patrons requiring wheelchair or special seating considerations. The accessible seating option is available to ticketholders using wheelchairs, crutches, or who have any other physical disabilities or injuries that will necessitate a seat or raised view for the show.

Any ticketholder who has special seating requirements should email LNWesternCanadaHelp@LiveNation.com with your ticket order confirmation number to request access to the accessible seating area. We recommend coordinating this in advance of the event. If needed, there will be a designated staff member available on site to provide some assistance. Accessible seating patrons who require an attendant are encouraged to purchase a ticket for their attendant and include mention of them in the email. There will be 1 attendant permitted per accessible seating patron in the designated seating area. Please note accessible seating is limited and will be provided on a first come, first serve basis until the ADA area is at capacity.

If you arrive at the show and do not find that the accommodations are adequate for your specific circumstances, please notify a staff member on-site to escalate your request.


HEALTH & SAFETY 

+ IS THERE MEDICAL AT THE EVENT?

There sure is! Health & safety at our event is our number 1 priority. Medical tents and roaming teams are in place, be sure to note these locations upon entry to the event or ask event staff for help, if needed.

+ IS THERE FESTIVAL HEALTH AT THE EVENT?

Festival health is an overarching term that provides education and resources on attending festivals and concerts safely from sunscreen and water, to safe substance use and alcohol consumption. If you are feeling uneasy or have any questions about steps you can take for your health and safety at events - check out their tent for more information. They are the ones in the cool purple shirts!

+ WHAT CAN I DO TO PROTECT MY HEALTH & SAFETY AT THE EVENT?

If you are reading this FAQ, you’re off to a great start! Be sure to: • Stay hydrated and drink lots of water
• Wear sunscreen and dress for the weather • Check your local Public Health website on safe substance use and alcohol consumption • Do not bring prohibited items into the event
• Follow our Fan Code Of Conduct for your and everyone’s safety • Keep an eye out for your friends • Follow instruction from event staff – they are here to help

If you see something, say something - report safety and security concerns immediately to event security and staff.

BAG POLICY

Bag Policy:

For everyone’s safety, security and enjoyment, we ask you to only bring small clutches, belt bags, fanny-packs or bags that are clear (i.e. see-through) to allow us to safely and efficiently properly screen and welcome fans into the event. All bags and hand-carried items will be subject to search and screened for prohibited items prior to allowing entry to the venue.

Approved Bags:

-Bags smaller than 6” x 9” (does not need to be clear)

-Clear bag smaller than 12” x 6” x 12” (no bags larger than 12” x 6” x 12”)

-1-Gallon plastic freezer bag

-Medically necessary and diaper bags

-Soft sided (squeezable) hydration packs with a bladder that is 1 litre or less (Cannot exceed 1 litre) and does not contain any hard or metal framing.


Security Screening

+ Security Screening

Guests are required to pass through security screening upon entry to the venue. Screenings will include a bag check, frisk search and metal detector screening. Refusal to submit to the security screening will result in denial of entry to the venue. Guests may be asked to provide picture ID based on observable concerns for public safety, and event security may deny entry on that basis. Any guest that is denied entry or removed for any violation of facility rules will not be issued a refund.

+ Prohibited Items

The following items are NOT permitted on site:

•Aerosol containers of any kind

•Animals (Service animals meeting the licensing requirements identified by the Province of British Columbia are allowed OR, if from out of province, the equivalent license/Identification card from the licensing body in their home state or province)

•Any bag larger than 6”x 9”, with the exception of clear single compartment bags up to 12”x 6”x 12”, 1 gallon plastic freezer bags or medically necessary or diaper bags

•Any item that can be used as a projectile, including but not limited to metal or hard sided water bottles

•Artificial noise makers, including megaphones and air horns

•Balloons or inflatables of any kind

•Coolers

•Costume masks

•Drones

•Flag poles or poles/long sticks of any kind

•Gang or club clothing and/or gang or club support gear, including but not limited to banners, signs and flags

•Gas masks

•Glass of any kind

•Hard-sided (Wood or metal framed) folding fans and any fan larger than 13.5” x 25”

•Helmets, unless medically required

•Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia

•Laser pointers of any kind

•Markers, pens or spray paint

•Musical instruments and Bluetooth speakers

•Outside food & beverage, with the exception of medically necessary or prescribed items

•Outside liquor

•Perfume or cologne bottles

•Pocket knives of any kind

•POI, whips and other flow props

•Portable chairs of any kind, including lawn chairs and stadium seats

•Posters and signs, except for those purchased from an authorized merchandise vendor inside the event

•Professional audio, video, or photography equipment (no detachable lenses, zoom lens 2 inches or greater, tripods or commercial/professional use camera assemblies)

•Pyrotechnics of any kind, including fireworks, sparklers or firecrackers

•Selfie Sticks and Go Pro apparatus

•Skateboards, rollerblades, roller skates, scooters, wheeled or motorized items intended to be ridden

•Sports equipment (i.e., Frisbees, etc.)

•Tactical clothing or equipment

•Tents

•THC or derivative products UNLESS in factory sealed (unopened) packaging from a licensed supplier (limited to legal restrictions)

•Umbrellas

•Walking sticks or canes of any kind unless it is a medical required mobility device

•Water guns

•Weapons of any kind and/or items that can be used as a weapon, including but not limited to large spikes, heavy wallet chains, bats/clubs, etc.

•Any other item deemed unsafe by venue management

+ Permitted Items

The following items ARE permitted on site: •Pre-Packaged food that is factory sealed/unopened

•Cigarette packs – Must be unopened in factory sealed packaging from a Provincially approved and regulated supplier

•Empty refillable drink containers (NO Glass) ***Must be 1 litre in size or smaller and soft sided (squeezable). Limit 1 per person.

•Go Pro Cameras ONLY. NO Go Pro apparatus, including selfie sticks, are allowed.

•Gum – Must be unopened in factory sealed packaging

•Hydration packs. Cannot exceed 1 litre bladder. Must be empty and open for inspection upon arrival. Must be soft sided and cannot have any hard or metal framing.

•Medically prescribed/required medications (must be in prescription container and verified with owner produced government issued photo identification), food and beverage items

•Personal cameras and mobile phones. No detachable lenses or zoom lenses 2 inches or greater.

•Reasonable amounts of sunscreen (No aerosol containers allowed)

•Service dogs. Note: Service dog teams must have an Alberta Service Dog Identification Card Get a service dog identification card | Alberta.ca OR, if from out of province, the equivalent license/Identification card from the government licensing body in their home state or province

•Soft sided folding fans that do not exceed 13.5” x 25”

•THC or derivative products must be in factory sealed (unopened) packaging from aprovincially licensed supplier (limited to legal restrictions)

•Vape juice E-liquid – Must be unopened, factory sealed and personal amount only

•Vapes (must have empty chamber or be in unopened factory sealed container from licensed supplier)

•1 gallon plastic freezer bag

•Any bag 6” x 9” or smaller

•Any single compartment clear bag 12”x 6”x12” or smaller

•Medically necessary bags or diaper bags for infant or young children

FAN CODE OF CONDUCT

+ Fan Code Of Conduct

FVDED In The Park is committed to creating a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable experience for everyone. We ask that your conduct contribute to everyone’s enjoyment of the event, be legally appropriate, and not be offensive or abusive to others. For your safety and comfort, unacceptable conduct is subject to ejection and includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Use of foul, threatening, offensive or abusive language or gestures.

  • Discrimination, bullying or hate that harasses, victimizes, degrades, or intimidates an individual or group of individuals on the basis of religion, race, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, age, ability, physical appearance or other.

  • Harassment, including unwelcome or hostile behavior, physical contact or sexual attention.

  • Fighting or any other type of violence.

  • Wearing or using clothing, signs, and banners which are offensive in nature.

  • Intoxication or impairment due to alcohol/cannabis or consumption of illegal substances.

  • Throwing objects or interfering with the progress of the event.

  • Being in possession of alcohol not purchased inside FVDED In The Park festival grounds.

  • Being a minor in possession of alcohol or providing a minor with alcohol.

  • Being in possession of weapons, illegal substances or any other prohibited items.

  • Smoking (including e-cigarettes, personal vaporizers, and cannabis) in the venue & on the premise outside of the designated smoking area.

  • Unpermitted access and breaching perimeters to the festival areas or other restricted areas.

  • Any other conduct that may be deemed by event organizers to be inappropriate or which may adversely affect the safety of persons or property, or disruption of the event.

  • FVDED In The Park will not tolerate any unsafe, offensive behaviour that violates our Fan Code of Conduct. Failure to abide by this Code may result in ejection & suspension from entering any/all of our associated venues.

  • Each of us has a responsibility to report any act that goes against the values that we stand for. So, if you see something, say something. Report any safety concerns to our management team right away

Can I smoke/vape in the venue?

There is a designated smoking area inside the festival. More information can be found about our cannabis policy below.

CANNABIS POLICY

All persons entering the venue are subject to search of their person and property upon entry, as allowable by law. The venue will allow guests who are of legal age (19+) to bring Cannabis, THC and related derivatives permitted by law into the venue subject to the following conditions:

Cannabis, THC and related derivatives in infused foods, oils or candies commonly referred to as “edibles” MUST be in factory sealed packaging from a Provincially Approved and Regulated Supplier. Opened packages, homemade products or those where the supplier cannot be confirmed will not be allowed into the event.

The quantity of Cannabis, THC and related derivatives permitted shall be in accordance with local laws and regulations pertaining to possession and personal consumption.

Cannabis is for personal use only and the unregulated sale of cannabis is strictly prohibited.

Guests who are of legal age (19+) will be allowed to use and/or consume the above identified Cannabis, THC and related derivatives they have brought on site.

Use of and consumption of these products is subject to the following conditions:

Smoking and vaping of these products can only occur in the designated smoking area. Doing so outside the designated area may result in eviction from the venue.

Any guest who overuses or over consumes any intoxicant is subject to eviction.

No guest can supply another person with these products. Doing so will result in eviction from the venue.

Security staff will evict any person who sells or purchases these products from another person inside the venue.

Approved Container Types:

 All approved suppliers will adhere to the packaging requirements mandates by law. Packaging must include the following:

The standardized cannabis symbol

The brand name of the cannabis product

THC and CBD and other cannabinoid content

Health warning message

Other required information about the cannabis product

Non-required information about the cannabis product

List of ingredients

Bar code
